Under the auspices of the Aleph Institute – a prison rehabilitation organization founded in 1981 – 10 Chabad-Lubavitch rabbinical students visited inmates at Dade Correctional Institution in Florida City, Fla. The program, called "Yeshivah Behind Bars," gave students three nine-hour days to learn Jewish texts, pray and eat meals with 13 inmates. In this photo, Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar, director of the Aleph Institute and co-director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Bal Harbor, gives a lecture to inmates.
